Manscaping – Manzilian Wax

40-year-old-virgin

Long thought of as a woman’s prerogative, waxing is making great strides in gender equality. Men have caught on to the many benefits that waxing offers: smooth, longer-lasting results. In fact, it’s the last stop before permanent hair removal, so it does have its advantages. The results last two to four weeks, and continued waxing leads to diminished hair growth over time.

The Brazilian bikini wax for men is becoming an ever more popular for the body conscious gent. Some wonder, what man would willingly allow his more intimate parts to be exposed to hot wax before having that wax ripped from his body? The answer is more guys than you might think!

While many women are familiar with waxing as a hair removal technique, a lot of men have no knowledge of it outside of that hilarious (if not painful) scene in the film The 40 Year-Old Virgin with Steve Carrell. So if this is your only point of reference, here’s how its done!

A Brazilian bikini wax for men is similar to the waxing women experience. Waxing involves the application of warm wax on an area where you wish to remove hair; sometimes cloth is applied over it, sometimes not. After the area is smoothed, the wax is ripped away in one motion against the direction of hair growth. One of the most-touted benefits of waxing is that, unlike with shaving or tweezing, the waxed area will stay hair-free for weeks. When the hair does grow back, it’s generally finer and softer than before.

A Manscaping Project

On the other side of the spectrum, another man is suffering from a case of too much hair … on his derriere. Andrea from Tampa, Florida writes that her husband Richard’s bottom is extremely hairy … and it’s getting thicker. The couple joins The Doctors onstage, and Cindy from Pink Cheeks salon gives the hairy hubby a treatment behind a frosted screen. She uses refined spun honey beeswax and Egyptian cotton muslin to remove Richard’s butt fuzz. The wax lasts about six to eight weeks, and Dr. Travis says that professional waxing is preferable to home kits, which can be dangerous.

Dr. Oz says if you get a Brazilian wax, make sure the wax isn’t too hot.
Is it safe to have a Brazilian wax?

Dionne wants to know if it’s safe to get a Brazilian wax, which is a bikini wax that takes “all the hair off from the front, the back, the bottom,” Dr. Oz says.

Dr. Oz says it is “absolutely safe” to get a Brazilian wax, although your skin is fragile and prone to pimples for a short time afterward. There are some products you can put on your skin to prevent the pimples, he says.

If you are going to go Brazilian, Dr. Oz says to make sure the wax is clean—don’t use wax that has been used on someone else. Also, check the wax to make sure it’s not too hot.

Short and Sweet

You love the colors of summer. Blues, greens and pinks that are light and airy- you know the drill. Fittingly one of the newest summer dresses at Sweet Samba’s boutique is a watery blue, and not to mention, super cute. With an empire waist and ruching throughout the skirt, this little number will not only show off your bronzed shoulders, but a hint of decolletage. And when the breeze blows later in the night, wrap a colorful pashmina around your shoulders to combat your chill or loop a summer scarf ’round your neck. But whatever way you choose to rock it, we’re sure you’ll look hot. And that goes without saying.

Hard Wax

Hard Wax

Hard wax is much more gentle than soft wax so removal won\’t be as intense as soft wax is. Once cooled enough put the wax on the are to remove. Let it cool and slowly peel up the section in a quick movement. Always go in the direction of the hair growth. Pat down the area with your hand. And repeat process if needed. Waxing with hard wax many feel is the best way to go.

Things To Know About Hard Wax

As you can see waxing with hard wax sometimes takes a little more work than most other things do. The biggest problem you will notice is getting use to working with it. Soft wax is totally different and will cause more pain than hard wax as it gives more. People need to understand that about hard and soft wax. Most people will tell you that working with hard wax would be their choice.

Remember to use soothing creams on the areas that you have work done on. This is because many times redness occurs and creams seem to lessen the pain and speed up healing which is a very important process in waxing. Always remember to avoid the eye area with these types of waxes. Waxing is a never ending process that seems to be changing all the time. Better innovations are coming out to make this type of hair removal less painful than ever before. I see no reason why this trend won\’t continue in the future.

Waxing with hard wax isn\’t for everyone. The people who have it done often will tell you how much they love it. In the end though that decision will be yours. Waxing gives you way to remove that unwanted hair at a very low cost. This is the nice part about waxing it\’s low cost and quick. Many people feel that is good enough for them.
